Coach Cary

Coach Tim Cary was born to coach.  Growing up surrounded by Hall of Fame coaches, he was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to learn from some of the best.  Throughout his career his athletes have enjoyed numerous successes in Track & Field, Cross Country, Road Racing, and Triathlon.

Coach Cary started his career at Marquette High School in St Louis.  His teams earned 8 state trophies in Track and Cross Country in only 10 years.  Coaching countless all state athletes, his teams were among the best in the nation several times during his tenure, highlighted by a record breaking 4×800 meter relay team.
Moving on to the collegiate ranks, Coach Cary’s athletes continued to rake in the accolades.  Coaching 3 NAIA National Championship teams and numerous All Americans in 4 short years at Lindenwood and Missouri Baptist Universities allowed Coach Cary to develop his skills in working with diverse cultures and events.  Coaching All Americans from 400 meters thru the marathon helped him to earn the Womens National Distance Coach of the Year in 2006.
 Tim Cary was the head training team coach & racing manager at Fleet Feet Sports.  He there coached thousands  of local St. Louis runners to finish marathons, half marathons &  first 5ks. Coach Cary has helped many runners accomplish huge PRS across the board & also those that had dreams of qualifying for the Boston Marathon, and accomplish goals they only dreamed of!
Tim is now back in the college coaching ranks as the new Head Women’s and Men’s Cross-Country/Track & Field coach, at Lindenwood-Belleville. He is an integral part to the St. Louis running community.
Tim has been a vital part of helping the Runnababez thrive. He enjoys being a part of the Runnababez team, and is the team’s biggest cheer leader!  He assists new team mates with coaching feed-back as needed and is seen as the head team agent & manager for the Runnababez.  Tim helps the team develop new opportunities,  in recruitment, sponsorships, and  break into new national racing opportunities.  His energy, expertise, and commitment to the team are a key ingredient to the team’s success!
