What a weekend filled with racing!  Runnababez started off the weekend with Diana Casanova toeing the line in Sterling Illinois for a night start to a trail 50k!  50k is longer than a marathon…closer to 31 miles, and this took place on a trail at night!  Diana said most of it was lonely or in solitude, due to the fact she was so far out front finishing in 2nd to noted endurance runner Camille Herron, who was ahead of her.  Diana finished top 10 including men! Both the leader, and Diana smashed the old course record to finish in a stellar time of 4:23!

Sunday morning Lisa joined 5000 runners in support of the St. Louis Blues, to run their 5k which took place in Forest Park.  It was a fun day, getting to see the Stanley Cup!  Lisa finished first woman overall in an official time of 19:22, (her garmin showed 19:05) which was also top 20 overall including men.  There were so many people to weave thru at the finish of people still headed out!  She won a signed Parayko jersey as a prize!

Monica Lewis partook in the Mo! Cowbell 5k in St. Charles running a season best of 24:26, to finish 6th woman overall and second in her age-group!
