Runnababez Results

24 Sep

Runnababez hit the weekend running with Lisa running a 5k at Miles for Meso, known for elite competition, cobblestone roads, and a huge hill finish.  Lisa finished 7th woman overall and first in her age-group, 10 weeks post-partum and was happy to take baby TJ on his first awards podium to celebrate.  Her time was 20:55 on the hilly course which is a few minutes still off her best time, but a minute improvement from last week.

Several Runnababez are busting off the rust, and returning to their racing roots!  Today action got underway with Lisa Cary running in her first race in about a year, after having a baby. 9 weeks post-partum she had her newest fan there to greet her at the finish!  It wasn’t easy and trying racing again felt rough, but she won first place female overall, at the Jefferson County 5k.

Meanwhile, Juli Koenegstein Stults toed the line in the City of Roses Half Marathon in Cape Girardeau.  This was Juli’s first half marathon in several years, and she ran away with the first place female win!
